Benedikt grew up in Chiemgau and studied law at the Civil Service College in Starnberg after completing his A-levels and military service with the mountain troops. Since then, he has worked at the public prosecutor's office, at the higher regional court and currently as deputy manager at the local court. At the same time, he has always been very interested in political affairs. He studied political science at the Fernuni Hagen for several semesters while working, is chairman of the judicial union in his district and a lecturer in constitutional law at the HWR Berlin. He is currently working towards his LLM at the University of Passau.
